Technical FAQ
Simulation software provides interactive, hands-on virtual training environments for practicing technical skills such as PLC programming, electronics design, and robotics operation. eLearning packages combine simulation software, structured curriculum, and assessments into a complete technical education solution.
Our simulation software, eLearning packages, and textbooks are designed for colleges, universities, technical institutes, high schools, workforce development programs, and industrial training departments.
Yes. Our PLC simulation software, electronics simulation tools, robotics simulators, and eLearning packages are ideal for classroom, hybrid, and fully online technical education programs.
Yes. Our textbooks are specifically written to support our PLCLogix, CircuitLogix, RoboLogix, and eLearning packages for cohesive industrial automation training.
Each eLearning Package uses one or more state-of-the-art simulation software products that act as real world tools and converts your computer into an electronics lab. With the simulator you can design test and debug a wide range of circuits and systems.
Users must have access to a personal computer with the following minimum configuration:
Intel Pentium or equivalent processor
2 GB RAM
500 MB of available disk space
Windows 8 / Windows 10/ Windows 11
32 and 64 bit compatible
Internet Access
Note: Our software is strictly made for Windows Operating Systems and will therefore only run on Windows-based computers. It will NOT work on Apple computers running Mac Operating Systems such as Macbook, Chromebook computers running Chrome Operating Systems such as Google Pixelbook or any device running Linux Operating Systems.
PLC simulation software replicates the behavior of real programmable logic controllers in a virtual environment, allowing students to practice ladder logic programming and troubleshooting without physical hardware.
PLCLogix 500 is PLC simulation software based on RSLogix 500, designed for introductory ladder logic training and foundational industrial controls education.
PLCLogix 5000 is advanced PLC simulation software based on RSLogix 5000, featuring tag-based programming aligned with modern ControlLogix systems used in industry.
Tag-based programming uses named variables instead of fixed memory addresses, providing more flexible, scalable, and industry-standard PLC programming methods.
No. PLCLogix provides a safe, hardware-free PLC training environment that eliminates equipment cost and downtime risk.
CircuitLogix Pro is electronics simulation software that allows users to design, analyze, and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits in a realistic virtual lab environment.
RoboLogix is industrial robotics simulation software for programming, testing, and visualizing robotic workcells in immersive 3D automation training environments.
LogixSim is an integrated simulation suite combining electronics, PLC, and robotics simulation tools for comprehensive industrial automation education.
Each eLearning package includes interactive simulation software such as PLCLogix, RoboLogix, or CircuitLogix. In addition ELPs include structured curriculum content, review questions, practice exams and laboratory projects.
Yes. Our eLearning packages are designed for workforce development, career technical education, and industry-aligned automation training programs.
Yes. All packages include review questions, knowledge checks, and measurable learning outcomes to support technical skill development. Most of our ELPs also include practice exams.
Yes. Our online technical training solutions support instructor-led, hybrid, and fully self-paced delivery models.
Our textbooks provide structured theory, worked examples, illustrations, and review questions aligned with PLC programming, electronics, robotics, and industrial automation training.
We do not have textbooks for every ELP that we offer. However, the textbooks we do have are all aligned with their respective ELP. For example, the Principles of Electronics book aligns with the Electronics ELP, and the PLCLogix simulators align with the PLC I and PLCII ELPs.
Individual users can purchase and download the software to run on their Windows PC, laptop, tablet, etc. Institutions can purchase licenses on a per seat, or network basis as either permanent licenses or subscriptions.
Yes. We offer institutional pricing and volume discounts for colleges, universities, and workforce training programs. Contact us for more details.
Yes. Educational institutions and training centers can contact us directly for customized pricing and licensing options.
Logic Design provides installation assistance, product updates, and technical support for all simulation software and eLearning packages.
Our simulation software supports Windows operating systems.
